Research InterestsMy research focuses primarily on factors that affect the distribution of aquatic invertebrates.
I am particularly interested in understanding how growing urban centers affect biological integrity of freshwater systems at population, community, and ecosystem scales. Another focus of my research involves examining the movement of freshwater invasive snails and their parasites from local to global scales. Also, I have a strong interest in studying the basic biology and taxonomy of freshwater gastropods, a poorly understood aquatic fauna. Finally, I am very interested in building a regional museum repository for both freshwater invertebrates and terrestrial insects at JSU.
